Web2's strengths
Web2's strengths lie mainly in its future potential. But even in its current form it has some benefits.
- It is very, very fast to put together. This site took exactly 30 minutes, 25 minutes of which was writing the text.
- It is extremely easy to use. Include the four magic files, and that's it. Start writing Web2ML and making links to .web2 files, and Web2 magically takes care of everything. No knowledge of JavaScript, and only very rudimentary XHTML required, the most important rule being always close your tags, because web2 doesn't understand invalid XML. AT ALL.
- It is very bandwidth-efficient. The libraries themselves are unfortunately quite hefty, but once you've got them, you need never load them again, and no other repetitive elements need be loaded either (well, there are some instances, but not after I fix recursive inclusion using the src2 attribute
- It makes templating an absolute doddle. You can design however you like, slap IDs in at random, and you're good to go.

Isn't that special? I think so.
