This is worth mentioning: Google Groups (the web-based USENET service from Google) has now expanded its archive to document my entire life. Yep, with 700 million usenet messages since May 3, 1981, the archive now starts before I was born and thereby documents every major event of my lifetime in the form of a digital, searchable discussion between large groups of clueless people. That sounds dumb, but think it's fantastically cool that the important events (or what seemed important at the time) of every day of my life are now online. The announcement contains links to a bunch of more significant events of more interest :-)
