Potentially every developer of software for Microsoft's SQL server software suddenly owes a company called Timeline a lot of money in patent royalties. This is because Microsoft negotiated a licensing deal that didn't cover third-party developers who used SQL server to develop further software, and in typical Microsoft fashion tried to use its weighty legal might to weasel out of this situation (it tried to sue the company instead of renegotiating the terms). Hilarious. If you use SQL server, now's the time to switch to a real database.\r\n\r\n
